Materials
I generally work in
graphite (pencil) or colored pencil.
I take pride in my work
and strive to offer my customers the highest quality product possible.
This means that I use the highest quality, acid free paper, and the highest
quality pencils on the market.
Method
I usually work from
photographs whether they be my own or ones that my clients provide me.
If you are interested in having a portrait done and you are outside the
Birmingham and Atlanta areas, or if you have a specific picture that you would
like for me to use, feel free to email it to me. The only criteria is
that it must be large enough for me to see the necessary details. A
general guideline is that if the whites of the eyes can be clearly seen, it
is probably detailed enough to make a nice portrait.
Timeframe
Portraits typically take
anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the
subject and any specific elements that are desired.
Also a factor in time is
whether or not there is a waiting list. Regardless, when a query is
made, I can determine an accurate timeframe for you.

The prices above reflect
the sizes that I typically select. I can,
however, work to almost any size needed. If you have a certain sized
portrait you would prefer, a price can be easily established.
Payment
Once the size and
pricing is agreed upon, a nonrefundable deposit may be required.
Once the portrait is complete I will email a copy for approval. Once
this is done and the final payment is received, I will ship the drawing.
I can receive payment
from any major credit card through PAYPAL, or through money order.
Shipping
Your portrait will
arrive in a rolled tube ready for matting and framing.
*Note on Framing*
When you have your
portrait framed, to insure a very long life for your portrait, I recommend
that you choose a high quality UV protected glass (regular or non
reflective). The framer should secure the portrait with an acid free
cork board and the back should be sealed.
